40% of warplane’s parts to be produced in Japan; government may soon ease weapons export ban
The government has adopted Lockheed Martin Corp.’s F-35 Lightning Ⅱ Joint Strike Fighter as the nation’s next generation warplane. On Dec.20, it decided to contract for 42 of the aircraft.
